Hello > And as I explained, it's Apple who has decided that 100% means 1pt=1pixel, as > long as they don't fully support resolution independence.
So they decided that for all other software, but their own? Since the Preview.App obviously ignores that...? As I already said, in whatever way, the entry exists and works, so actually I don't understand the point in discussing what Apple thinks? You can see what they think in their new Preview.App with the default settings. That's where they are going, completely independent of any technical Framework, ... and if you already found a (technical!) way around that, why not present it? This is were it's going, should be undoubtable. If you go for UI cleanness, I'd say it's useless to present an option I think (as explained) is of no practical use. So replace this one with the one actually used if you want it super clean? I now know where the option is. I care for all the others who search for the physical size. The size you actually want to see, if you want to estimate e.g. the final size. And I would define clean as "easy to use" so all common entries should be visible - and I'd really say that is a common entry. I could also bring forward that it's unintuitively for someone who switches from the original OSX Preview.App now and finds this option working in Skim in a completely different way here than there. What's clean in that? That's not even consistent. Sorry, but there wasn't any contra argument here I could understand until now, besides "the implementation is hackish", which - by all dear respect - sounds like "I don't like it". Especially because the feature exists already?! Nobody until now even mentioned if the old somewhat beloved existing prominently presented option is of any practical use? Btw: nothing awesome until now. Awesome would be to respect wishes of those who use the software. And, I might be here right now, and I might be the only one right now, but I'm obviously not the only one who simply does not understand the option in the current way. Would be awesome to take the practical use of Skim into account too, besides the technical view and some specifications (which surely should be respected, but which I still haven't understood until now).
