Hi, I searched the list archives and didn't see my question addressed, so I thought I would post to the list.
I would like to annotate PDF files using a Wacom pen (DTU-1631) display attached to my MacBook Pro. The idea is that I will create PDF documents like this one (Dropbox loads the file in an odd way, but you can click download): https://www.dropbox.com/s/eifhgv438e3eqxm/sample_pages.pdf and then will write on them using the pen display during lectures, save the final result, and post it for students after class. I have tried: Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 Bamboo Dock Deskscribble inkBook Open-Sankore PDFpen Preview Skim Skim works the best in that: * it supports showing the slides in presentation mode on the external pen display * it supports the back end of the Wacom pen as an eraser * it antialiases the lines drawn (they look great) What I am finding is that when drawing using my mouse on my MBP display, it is very responsive. On the other hand, when drawing on the external pen display, there is a long delay between what I draw and when it shows up. It captures everything, but the delay makes it unusable. Am I doing something wrong or is there some setting I should be using that I am not? Should I be using something other than Skim to do what I wish to do? Thank you for your help.
