We use the standard save panel, provided by the system. How that behaves 
exactly is Apple's choice, and we should not override that in any way. We 
should only override things for which we have some specific special 
consideration for our specific app, but this is about a generic feature of any 
document based apps, so it would be wrong to override that.

No, there are no plans. It would be a real hassle to do that.
