I joined these lists to attempt a workaround for the "opaque highlight" bug
that reportedly is due to Mac OSX 10.13 High Sierra. The symptom is that
highlights laid down in High Sierra are opaque, and cannot be 'removed'.
Reopening the Skim document removes the artifacts left after the highlight
removal process fails.
I fear the only way to work around this is to set up a Mac OSX virtual
machine running El Capitan (that's right, because good old Sierra is
unavailable for re-download from the App Store, and is unavailable for
download from Apple's developer portal at developer.apple.com (login
required).
So, downloading El Cap and wondering if the list has any advice for
stranded Skim aficionados.
