Dear Ms Kiran Takke, Tuition Fees paid during the FY 2008 - 2009 upto a maximum limit of Rs. 100,000/- is eligible for duction u/s 80C. The tuution fees so paid may pertain to the preceding year or the following year , but one can claim exemption since the amount has been paid in the FY 2008 - 2009 . Regards Ashish
