Just a query in particular addressed to Dilip K Jain and Associates who have a tag line of “Please say NO to crackers this Deepavli :)”. I wonder whether they have a similar tag line when crackers are burst all over the world at the time of new year or is it only the crackers that are burnt at Diwali that cause pollution? The cracker show in different parts of the world are telecast on the TV as spectacular. I wonder whether we have a crusade against them. On similar lines I wonder whether anyone has anything to say at the time of Bakri Id, when innocent animals are slaughtered at street corners across different parts of the world with their blood flowing into the open drains. I wonder whether there is no pollution caused by this when this untreated waste gets into the storm water lines? Do we say the same for the candles being lit in every church etc. The point is why are only Hindu festivals being targeted and by Hindus themselves???
