The issue is still actual. Lowering http_fetch_size hadn't help either: SKS continued to do strange things like
2011-07-06 05:12:16 8483 hashes recovered from <ADDR_INET [2a01:7a0:1::6]:11371> ... 2011-07-06 08:47:13 8523 hashes recovered from <ADDR_INET [2a01:4f8:100:2ffe::2]:11371> and then endless attempts to receive keys... Seems, that recon cycle is infinte for some unknown reasons. So, to save my hard disk from thrashing, I have to shutdown keyserver.fryxell.ru (sad, but true) until the solution could be found (may be, this would be fixed in next versions of SKS...)
