Hi all!

Well my aim was simple. I wanted to display my Skype in number to people I
called. According to Skype's own knowledge base, which claims to have all
the answers, I should have been able to do this because according to it,
United States Skype in numbers are the only ones that can't be used in this
way. After satisfying myself that there must be something I was missing, I
submitted a support request to Skype. Here is the definitive response I've
received, which proves the claim I've made in my subject line.
Hello Dave,

Thank you for contacting Skype Support.

If you have a SkypeIn number with one of the following international access
codes then you can choose to have your SkypeIn number displayed when you
make
SkypeOut calls:

United Kingdom (+ 44)
Estonia (+372)
Poland (+48)
Sweden (+46)
Denmark (+45)
Hong Kong (+852)

If you do not have a SkypeIn number with one of these access codes then
caller identification is not possible at present.

We are working with the telecoms regulators to enable caller identification
from other SkypeIn numbers in the future.
