Embarrassing withdrawal: I did not look at the Options page before
saying all that, but in modern Skype versions, the Allow Authorized
option seems to be gone. Not sure what's going on then.

There should be three possible settings for chat privacy: Allow
all, allow authorized, and allow from contacts. You should not get
messages from deleted contacts if you check the last of those, but
if you check Allow Authorized and you authorized a contact before
deleting it, you could still get chats because deleting the contact
does not delete the authorization. I think you can delete the
authorization by blocking and then unblocking the contact though,
if you need to do that.

Hi list,
I have set up my privacy settings in order not to get messages and calls
from people who are not in my contact list and that works perfect. However,
I noticed that, when I delete someone from my list I still get their chat
messages. How come I still get their messages since they are no longer in
my contact list? I wonder if any of you could enlighten me on this.
thanks.
Take care,
Lyn & Twinny.
