People you really really are making this harder than it has to be. If you mess up your jaws start it using the defaults like this jaws9 /default Delete the messed up.jsb file and fix the .ass file after restarting jaws.

You won't be able to up or down arrow since JAWS just repeats each key stroke you push. So I had to go to programs with narrator, press Jaws until it said JAWS 9, then press t for tools, then u for uninstall, arrow down once to uninstall shared components and press enter. Narrator will be necessary after you uninstall everything. I would also go to the JAWS 9.0 folder and dump that as well. It would be under my computer, c drive, then documents and settings, your user name, application data, freedom scientific, the jaws version you are using.
