Hi,
the reason some of the functions are not available in other languages is
this. The scripts are looking for strings of text. Obviously those text
strings are in English. I have not looked at the skype code in a long time.
But in general, translations done to the message file solve this problem.
Strings are contained in the message files so you translate the string from
English to whatever your local languages, recompile the scripts, and you're
good to go

dear Gordan.
I'm not asking for anything like this. I'm just trying to understand why
some features are language dependent while most of them are not. I've been
using Skype in French with Sarah's scripts for months without noticing.
It's just recently when I started using chat that I discovered that some of
the scripts function were not accessible if Skype was not set to English.
In fact, most of us can use Skype in his own language with Sarah scripts and
never notice that some functions are missing if they don't use them.
So, I was just asking Doug how hard it would be to make all the scripts
functions work regardless of which language is used.
Cheers,

  Hi!
I agree about this one. I also don't know much about scripting, but I
don't
have problems using English versions of programs and OS, I'm really not
falling on localized software. Sometimes when I sit in front of PC
localized
in Croatian, I have a feeling that someone is joking with me.
But, since there are obviously people who like localized things, they can
translate scripts by themselves. As I said before, I don't know much about

scripting, but I know one thing. Scripts are like text files You can open
them in Script Manager or a simple text editor as Notepad and carefully,
line by line, change English phrases with the language of your choice. Of
course, you need to type exact phrases as they are in your localization of

program you use, it's not easy, but it's achieveable.
So, why bother the script author to install localized version and do this
for you if you can do it by yourselves? Since this versions of scripts are

published I noticed that a lots of blind people in my country and a few
neighbor countries started using Skype more often than in the past couple
of
years, and considering that, isn't it better to leave author to work on
making scripts even better or to write Christmas wishes in the wrong time
of
  year?
