Good morning Golden, 1. if you are using jaws 7.0 or higher. You should install the latest jaws scripts for skype which is revision 653. I like the installer.
When installing it, at one point you will see the version of your skype, if it's not your jaws version then arrow to the version you have running. After it's all done. You need to open your skype. Make sure to go into, tools, then into the view menu. Go down to the accesibilies submenu, arrow right. Make sure the two items have a check mark on it. If it doesn not, then hit enter and it will put a check mark on the item. You have to repeat to get the other one checked marked. Then go back into tools, go down to options and hit enter. You should see the general page. Arrow down to, notifications. Then tab threw. Make sure the itmes of choice have a check makr on every single one of them. Then save it. Notice, when you go back in the notification tab, tab a couple of times. You must hear. Show windows tray alert, 1 of 2, checked. That means the radio is set to 1 of 2. You are ok. If not, then you need to use the jaws cursor and change it from show skype tray alert to show windows tray alert. Your question now. You have to go into the, jaws default.jss file. Once opened, please check the top line to see if you have a semi there. If you do, great. Go down to the complete bottom with control+end. Here if you use insert+5 on the numpa, it should say, blank. Then hit enter a couple of times. You are missing the line below for skype watch to work. Copy it to the default.jss file and then save it with control+s. It should tell you it's successful. If it did you can close the default.jss file safely. If not, then exit without saving.
