Hi! I tried to use SKread several times, last time I was testing it on the PC using Hal screen reader. I succeed to kill notification of my status which annoys me a lot, I even managed to disable announcing of my contacts status changes, but still there are a few things that don't work properly. If you edit the INI file and you set that SKread announces only when your contacts status is "online", it announces it not only when the contacts sign in. It blabs every time when the contact's status are changed from "away" or "not available" to "online". SKread should read chats, but it doesn't work correctly. It read it sometimes, but I couldn't figure out the circumstances on which it does it. The only thing I like about SKread is that I can easily find out is someone from my contact list has a birthday in the next few days, but that's about everything I like about it. Doug's scripts, even they slows a PC a bit and even there's some clashing with other scripts using default files works much better than SKread and if you're running Jaws scripts are the way out better solution for you.
