Greetings Matthew and list If you say you bought a subscription to make calls to landlines, I assume you mean you bought Skype credit? If so, then you don't need to buy a number to make calls. However, if you want people who don't have Skype to be able to call you, you'll have to buy what's known as a Skype In number, which is a separate subscription. Last time I bought one, the cost was $65 for 12 months. This includes free voice mail.
You can also buy a separate voice mail subscription without a Skype In number, but I'm not sure of the cost. Hope this helps. Marius
