Wow... I did not actually test the dictionary myself. The Unicode one seems not to do this, but the ANSI replacement I put up on my site does. JAWS, at least JAWS 10, is having trouble with asterisks in dictionary entries; it seem to ignore them. The colon character is therefore being called a kiss, which is a little ambitious. Deftly avoiding all the jokes one could make about a kiss and a colon, I'll just remove the three entries that are causing trouble until we can figure out a better approach.
