The dial pad in Skype 4 is used to dial digits after you have
established a connection to an actual telephone number. This can be
used, for example, to control an answering machine, enter a voicemail
access code, etc.

However, if you type Ctrl+Shift+D at a time when you're not in a
connection to a telephone number, you may get strange results. This
is because it is currently difficult for the scripts to determine
whether the Dial pad button is usable or not.

Hello everyone. Tonight I was using Skype 4, and I was in a friend of mine
Lewis Crack's chat window. Just for an experiment, I pressed control shift
and D. JAWS then said dial pad closed, and it called him!

Please could I have an explanation on what the dial pad is and what it is
for?

Many thanks. Look forward to some responses.
