Option tree item count wrong: True, and as you say, long-standing. I
have never known what I should do with that one though. I'll explain
more after I address your other issue.

Random speech stoppage in option tree: I have not seen this, but I
have seen where it takes several seconds for JAWS to announce the item
you arrowed to. This is because Skype itself can take some time to
finish redrawing the screen after you switch to a new item, and JAWS
has to wait for that to finish. If you arrow down and hear no speech
after, say, ten seconds (which is of course ridiculously long to wait,
but just for testing...), please let me know.

About the option tree item count: That "tree" is not a normal
treeView. To quote a message I wrote to this list on February 4 of
this year:

There are headers separating the options into logical groups. The way
Skype counts the items has varied from time to time, but for various
reasons, I did not see a clear winner on how it should best be done,
within the constraints of the control. For example, the control does
not allow focus on the headers that separate sections. Visually, the
currently selected section is the only one that's open; the others are
closed automatically. Think of it like a treeView where Windows just
keeps you at level 1 all the time, hopping over dividers as necessary.

So there is not really a clear "best" way to handle this one. I do
have some ideas though, the best so far being to speak the position
and count based on the number of level-1 nodes, which equals the
number of nodes you can arrow to. JAWS also should say the parent
node's name as part of the current node's name I think. I am writing
this in the Known Issues list on my web site so it shouldn't get lost.

Btw, PageUp and PageDown will jump you from group to group in that
tree. I just now noticed this.

Ok index counts in the options tree view is bogus this has been a problem
for some time. also while moving through this control jaws will just stop
speaking at random and I have to set focus away and then refocus the
control.

TMyselfControl: That is not a button actually; it is a whole
collection of controls, which are represented by distinct MSAA
elements. There is therefore no one class I could assign to it in
skype.jcf.

Status line not at bottom: This is by design I'm afraid. Skype put
that inside the contact list area. As such, it is only visible if the
Contact list is visible, so if you switch to the Conversation list,
with Ctrl+2 with scripts or Alt+2 without them, the number of people
online will not show even for sighted users. (Technically, the online
user count seems to be in the conversation window parenting both the
contact and conversation lists, but when I switch to the conversation
list, the History list appears and replaces the user count.)

Online Skype user count not accessible: True, it has no MSAA entry.
It is findable with the JAWS cursor though, which means the text at
least is accessible to us. I did not consider this a high priority at
all compared to the other issues we have, so though I think I
mentioned it to Skype developers once, I have not pursued this.

JAWSKey+PageDown does not read status line: True, but again, I never
thought of this as a priority, particularly since it is no longer
really a status line and is not always visible.

And I do appreciate the feedback.

The Class TMyselfControl
Probably should be added to the skype jcf file as a button.
The status line command does not report anything useful in the main skype
window.
I would think that this though would be something you spoke to skype about.
The status line is above the shop button um status lines should be at the
bottom of windows!
So far real good though. Please don't think I am posting to wine or
complain I am attempting to provide feedback.

The title in the installer is wrong. It reads
Setup - JAWS Scripts For Skype 4.0
It should read Setup - JAWS Scripts For Skype 4.1
Or 4.x.
