Hello,

If you emulate a left mouse click on the Skype tray icon, a popup window
will appear with a notification if there are missed events or not. This
popup window is the same as the ones for people signing in and out and
so JAWS reads it fine if you have SkypeWatch installed and enabled. And
if you go in the conversations list, JAWS will tell you "new" if there
is an unread event in the currently selected conversation in the list.

Best wishes!
