hello!

skype has not a connection problem.

if you want to make sure, you can check the heartbeat daily blog to
read about connection problems and on or off issues.

you may be having a local internet connection problem, firewall
controller problem or instant connection unaccessible problem.

for testing this,

1: restart your connection if you're using cable/dsl. (before doing
this, shut down your computer complatelly.)

2: open your computer and try to access the your internet homepage

3: check the status bar, may be you can see the some of the components
couldn't access correctly.

4: if you're using internet explorer 8.0 or firefox 3.5, click to
refresh in new window. and check the status bar again.

5: if the components could access correctly, skip next step that i will provide.

6: open your firewall settings and check if skype or skype pm got a block

7: if it is, remove the block.

8: open your user folder and find the skype documents folder.

in windows xp: c / documents & settings/user ?d/application data/skype

not: the symbol is back slash, but the system can't show it.

9: find the shared.lck file.

10: click right and click properties

11: make sure the reed only button is not checked.

12: if it's already not checked, find the invisible check box and
before, made it checked, and later redo it to not checked. save
changes and close the folder.

note: while doing these steps, skype must be closed from system try.

13: try to access the another im service if you are using. i will tell about wlm

if the connection couldn't provided, click repair.

possibly it will be solved succesfully.

if not, feel free to contact.

Best Regards
