Hi list.
I'm having real issues with my microphone on skype, i've got it set up not
to adjust my skype settings, and yet my voice sounds really crackly and
quiet.
do you think its the microphone causing the problem? as it is a cheap
microsoft one or are there settings in windows or skype i can check.
I have actually been thinking of returning the mic anyway as i don't like
it.
Can anyone give me a recommendation on a good headset? as i'm very fussy
about my headsets, but what anoys me is if you go to the shops to by one,
there all sealed in plastic so you can't feel them, and on line the
descriptions aren't detailed enough.
What i'm looking for is as follows if i replace this awful headset.
a headset where the band of the headset goes across the top of your head
rather than over the back of it.
next, i'm after ear pads which are ear pads that go over the top of your
ears rather than ones that are shaped like cups that actually go over the
top and cover your ears completely, as i find they make my ears all hot and
press on them a lot.
finally i'd like the microphone bit to fold back completely into the 12
oclock position by your ear, and for the microphone bit if possible to be
attached to a solid arm. by arm i'm talking about the bit that you use to
fold the microphone away. what is really anoying me now, is that headsets
these days have the mic part attached to a kind of bendy stalk bit on the
end of the arm, which i seriously hate as i tend to break a lot of headsets.
so if anyone can recommend me a good headset that matches the requirements
above i'd be greatful, or if anyone can help with my quality issues i'd be
greatful.
