Hmmm, well, I ran the 3.88 beta for a while. Any improvement in audio quality was slight if any. If you only run Skype, and don't run anything else to supliment it, such as call burner, I wouldn't be too hasty.

The sound quality is truly improved as compared to 3.6. Based on my testing for the last month, things seem to be working really well with the Beta and really well with the Final Release with nothing being broken.
