When I was replying to your first letter, there were 2 "To:" fields. The
first was to the SkypeEnglish mailing list, and the second one was to
your personal e-mail address. When I was replying to your second e-mail,
there was only "To:" field - to your personal email address. So the
second time I replied only to you. And the first time that you replied
to me - you replied only to me, and not to the hole mailing list. And
now I think it is the same situation. Maybe sometimes while replying to
an e-mail, from the SkypeEnglish mailing list, you by mistake reply only
to the sender, and not to the hole mailing list. Why is this happening -
I don't know.
And now to your Skype problem. While I was walking in the supermarket
and thinking about it, I think I found the answer to your problem with
the Skype mood message. You have probably "collapsed" your Skype profile
area in the Skype main window. This is done by pressing spacebar (or
maybe also Enter) when the focus is on your Skype name in the Skype main
window. When your Skype profile area in the main window is "collapsed",
your Skype mood message is hidden (not visible) and that is why JAWS
doesn't "see" it.
In order to solve this, do the following:
1. Focus in the Skype main window.
2.Press Insert+F8 to display the "Select a ToolBar Item" dialog.
3. Use your arrow keys to get to the item containing your Skype and
press Enter on it. Your Skype profile area will be expanded again and
the "Select a ToolBar Item" dialog will be closed.
4. Press Insert+F8 again and now you should be able to find the item
with your Skype mood message text.
5. When you find it, press Enter on it and will be able to edit it.
After you are done editing, press Enter again to save the mood message.

i have jaws 10 where as before when i used 3.8 and 4.1 i was using jaws 9
not sure if this has anything to do with it or not
but i remember in earlier versions when going into the menu scroll down
it says change your moods
this is not in the menu anymore
i wonder if it can be brought back because it was very good for keeping
other users informed with any changes to what i did
and they could read this without having to read my profile
the scripts i have are version b for 4.1

however it never worked for me as i could find no mention of the moods
box for editing
but if i post frequently someone may be able to shed some light on to
this and then perhaps i can change my moods from time to time

If you wish - you can go back to Skype 3.8. But as I recall it - the
changing of mood messages there wasn't easier.
BTW: Do you have the accessibility option in Skype 4.1 enabled? It is
located in the Options menu in the Accessibility submenu and it's called
Quick keyboard navigation (or something like that). And also - do you
have the correct JAWS scripts installed? Remember that the JAWS scripts
for Skype 4.1 are not the same as the ones for Skype 3.8, and will have
to change them as well when changing from Skype 4.1 to Skype 3.8 and
vice versa.
I'm not sure I'll be able to help you via a Skype call, because I have
very little free time (I'm studying and that takes most of my time)).

With JAWS and the scripts installed, when you are in the Skype 4 main
window, press Insert+F8 - a dialog box will appear. Arrow through the
list of items in this dialog until you reach an item called "Mood
message text" and press Enter on it. You will be placed in the mood
message edit area and you can edit your Skype mood message text there.
After you are done editing your mood message, press Enter and the new
message will be saved. This procedure works even if you don't have a
mood message text yet.
