Hey Karen,
I'll have to test more about Skype 4.2, but if using 4.1 make sure you set
the Visual style of the window to Classic Windows, not Skype. To do this:
1. from within Skype main window, press alt+t for the tools menu, then up
harrow once for options and enter to activate it;
2. press tab till you find "Visual style of the window";
3. if it's set to "Skype", press down harrow to find the "Classic Windows"
option;
4. tab till save button and space.
As I told before, I don't know exactly how it works in Skype 4.2, though I
read here and personally noticed that this choice is no longer available.
