, maybe you should try uninstalling skype 4.2 and reinstalling it. it
sounds to me like this skype install is damaged in some way and is not
seeing that a screen reader is loaded. was able to reproduce your problem
buy forcing my screen reader flag to be unset. glad I did that on a vm
because after that the vm was totally jacked up. lol. how-ever as I said
it sounds like the screen reader flag is not set or skype is not seeing that
it is.
buy the way just so you know I am using the relieve build of skype 4.2 with
no problems so I think it is an issue with this machine.

Thanks for considering my problem. Yes, I agree with you--Control 1 should
always give access to the contact list, or should if not directly within a
reasonable way close to that. I've only had it fail to do so when I was
asked to sort out the problems caused when the upgrade offer to 4.2.0.155
was accepted without considering the potential consequences.
Of course, I updated scripts to revision 42C and made sure that they had
compiled successfully and were functioning as far as anyone could have
told. Navigating the tools menu and options menu was fine, except for the
fact that there was no indication of checked or unchecked for any of the
events, no matter what I did.
Extended keyboard navigation was checked under accessibility, so that is
OK.
I'm just glad I haven't gone up from 4.2 beta yet. Luckily, the user can
still answer in-coming calls and her assigned sounds held their
assignments. Actually, I added another one that was requested and that
worked OK also.
Well, computers are just like people after all.

sorry David but deleted your message on this. first no matter what view
is being used the contact list should be accessible. pressing control 1
should always take you to the contact list.
second sound event check boxes should be read perhaps Doug could help
better with this one because I have never seen a case where this doesn't
work.
the install for chrome has been around for a while and the simple thing
is to uncheck the check box that installs it.
