In version 0.8, to unload SkypeTalking, you should press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+Q.
Settings are opened with CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P. Those changes are covered in
the "whatsnew.txt" file

Hello. go to the system tray and look for I believe it is skype
talking. then hit enter on the item and go to settings then the
allerts tab and uncheck what you don't want to here.
