Hi, This is a gpf general protection fault. It means that skype has tried to address memory or the cpu in a manner that is not allowed. This is why in the windows 95 days gpf were also called illegal operations. This is usually a bug in the code for the version your running. So to fix it the best thing to do is update your skype to the latest version. If the problem goes away then it is fixed. If the problem does not go away then get a copy of the error send it to the skype team so they might investigate the error and resolve it. Note skype 4.2 has a lot fewer gpf issues then skype 3.8. just one reason why I urge people to update skype to the latest version to avoid stability issues. Hth
