Well this question comes from the era before the on line directory was as accessible as it now is. Not all of this upgrade dews is bad. Some things have improved, such as the skype directory. You decided whether you wanted to be listed when you set up your account. Guess what? You are if that's what you chose. In 4.2 you find it in the view minu, and it now works a treat.
Sometimes requests don't come through as quickly as they should, but if that happens just send another request when you can be sure the person is on line, and that is now the only occasional hiccup. To be sure accessibility is not what it was.
