Hi Jennifer and list. I'm assuming that the microphone in this case is enabled, so let's look at the options in Skype. Open Skype, activate the Tools menu with Alt+T, then press O for options. Press the down arrow once to get to Audio Settings and press Tab. You should now be on the setting for the microphone. From the combo box, select the default Windows device, whether it be onboard sound, an external soundcard, or a USB headset. Hope this helps.
