now that it comes to my mind, I had similar troubles with Skype 4.1 as well,
but I thought it was not a SkypeWatch problem but Skype itself because
neighter the sounds worked. So, go to tools / options, sounds settings, and
enable the sounds corresponding to "Contact online" and "My contact goes
offline". At same time, go also to notifications settings and verify that
the checkboxes "Comes online" and "Goes offline" are checked. When checked
all this, save all at once.
