Thanks Simon, because someone called my GoogleVoice last night, and no
idea who it was, and they was using a version of Vertual Audio Cable
that was not licensed. So i kept hearing trial, and i hung up, becuas
eall they was playing was sounds or whatever.
Don't know who it was, though, never gave my number out, and it was unknone.

for them, but I know others who have. It usually works by sending you
a .pif file. Windows refuses to show that extention for some reason,
but it's actually an executable file in disguise. You can rename a
.exe to .pif and the extention will disappear as far as explorer is
concerned.
So they can tack a .jpg before the .pif, and send you any executable
they want to. Most of the time after that happens, people fall for it
because, what harm could a simple jpg do? The way to solve this is to
go to properties on the file, and check to make sure it doesn't say MS
DOS shortcut or something. If it's jpg, you'll want it to say JPEG
image, and so on.
The thing to really be careful of is the result of this virus. If
someone a little less tech smart, or smart in general, falls for this,
it takes over their skype account and starts sending that virus to
anyone else who will fall for it. So if one of your friends sends you
something, make sure you have a clear idea of what it is they're
sending. I'm sure I don't have to tell you to also make sure they're
not acting strange, or like a bot.
