Hi! You're right, Chris, I do live in France, but I am English, that's why my English is so good! (Smile). I've used NVDA ever since I got this Windows 7 laptop I'm using now, because I couldn't afford to upgrade JAWS. Apart from not being able to correctly read the state of the checkboxes for sounds in the Skype options, NVDA works well with Skype, although I also use SkypeTalking to make accessing Skype so much easier. But, as I always say in so many situations when the subject of screenreaders comes up, we should all use the screenreaders which suit us best, depending on what we like, what we can afford and what we want to do, and NVDA works fine for me for my everyday use of the computer, including skyping: however, it's up to other blind Windows users to decide which screenreader they prefer, or which ones they want to try out.
