Well they almost might as well be telling us "Hey..we don't want blind or
visually impaired people to access accounts! While I understand the need
for something to make websites secure, I get very aggravated when sites do
this!

Yes this is indeed true. When opening Skype and choosing the option to
create a new account, a web page opens with edit boxes for the various
details to be filled in, and at the end we're presented with a wonderfully
exciting captcha (note the sarcasm here!) which must be filled in. I
haven't checked if there's an audio captcha as well, but those things have
proved to be rather useless as well. This is true for all versions of
Skype from 5.5 upwards.
