SkypeTalking relies on something called the Skype Desktop API. That is part of Skype itself, and sadly, Microsoft has chosen to discontinue it by the end of this year. As a result, SkypeTalking will not work soon, and there is no reasonable way I see for its author to fix that. I've long had a verbosity option in my Skype scripts for JAWS that can prevent this excess information from being spoken, but in Skype 6.9, it doesn't work. I just posted a six-or-so-minute audio podcast explaining why this is happening, why I have not attempted to fix the verbosity option, and what I did do to address the problem. The podcast can be found at http://www.dlee.org/s69b.mp3 I hope this helps people understand what is going on.
