I bought the Logitech H800 Bluetooth headset and it works OK with Skype.
Here is a short review + a question:
Its earcups are bigger than I prefer, but they are on-ear, not over-the-ear,
so they are OK.
It has a switch with 3 positions for turning it off, for connecting it using
the standard bluetooth of the laptop or mobile phone, or for connecting it
with its own Bluetooth adapter (USB dongle).
Using the USB dongle is very easy.
I configured Skype so this headset is the first in list for both the
headphones and microphone, and the second in list is the headset/microphone
connected to the sound card. This way, if I listen/speak using the wired
headphones and I want to go wireless, I just switch the bluetooth headphones
on, and insert the USB dongle in a USB port on laptop. In a few seconds it
switches to the bluetooth headphones and I can start walking when talking on
Skype.
If the USB dongle for the bluetooth headphones is connected using an USB hub
that has an on/off button, switching to this headset can be done by just
pushing that button, without needing to insert or remove the USB dongle.
The sound of these headphones is OK, although it is not great. Probably it
also matters that they are connected by bluetooth.
The right earcup has 4 buttons, for volume up, volume down, mute/unmute the
microphone and start/pause.
It also has a kind of switch that can be used for jumping to the previous or
next track when listening to music, or for rewind/fast forward.
If the last media player program used was Winamp, even if it was closed,
pressing the start button opens Winamp and starts playing. But these
headphones cannot control Winamp further.
It can control Windows Media Player and I read that it can also control
iTunes.
If Windows Media Player is opened, it can be controlled by pressing the
stop/pause/next track/previous track/fast forward/rewind buttons.
If Media Player was used but it was closed, the headphones can also controll
it in the same way, but the Windows Media Player window is not opened.
The left earcup can be pressed and rotated it and it reveals the battery,
which can be changed, plus a location where the USB dongle can be stored
when not used (for not losing it).
These headphones are pliable so they are a little bit easier to carry.
The earcups are covered by spunge.
There are 2 things I don't like at these headphones.
First, their manufacturers say that they can be used at a distance of 10 or
12 meters(30 feet), but this may be tru only when there are no walls between
them and the bluetooth adapter.
After 5 - 6 meters (15 - 20 feet) they start breaking the sound or not
working at all if there are walls.
The second thing is that they are not really supporting Skype, because if
somebody calls me by Skype, I can't answer the call using its buttons. Or if
I want to close the current Skype call, I can't do it remotely, but I need
to do it from the computer.
I read that there are headphones that oficially supports Skype, but the
problem is that all the web sites just display images with the headphones,
so it is impossible to find which of them are good.
Do you know some headphones that support Skype and can be used at a longer
distance? I read that there are headphones that can be used at 100 meters
(more than 300 feet).

I don't post in this space much; but I'd also like to recommend the
Logitech
H800; comes with a nano-USB plug; plug it in and forget it. It will also
support bluetooth. I use it, and it works wonderfully for me. You can
grab
one from amazon.com/.
Sincerely,
