Certifique-se de ter os pacotes da série T instalados: tetex tetex-doc transfig xfig Caso não estejam instalados, instale. O LaTeX precisa configurar algumas variáveis de ambientes, por isso faça o procedimento de logoff e logon. Teste o comando latex, caso funcione, execute novamente o slackbuild. Dou essas dicas, pois acabei de executar o slackbuild aqui sem o pacote tetex instalado e repliquei exatamente o seu erro.
