>From ghc's README:
Optional dependency: Sphinx (for building the documentation).
It's finding Sphinx in /opt/SageMath/local/bin - which means you aren't
building in a clean environment. Also note Sphinx on SBo is 4.2.0, but yours
is 4.0.1.
Try cleansing your PATH environment variable at the very least and try building
again.
