That's only the original default. I'm not quite sure under what circumstances it can change, honestly.

You can see the current FOV setting, though, if you use Advanced -> HUD Info -> FOV.

llcamera.h says DEFAULT_FIELD_OF_VIEW = 60.f * DEG_TO_RAD; so im
pretty sure its 60 :)
