Strictly speaking yes, but it is much harder to do with a cheap, consumer grade equipment without requiring the user to wear something on their head (typically a camera and an infrared LED pointed at your eye). A regular 640x480 webcam at ~80cm from the user's face will see the eyes only few pixels wide. Trying to measure the gaze direction from that is next to impossible with any accuracy.
