Not working bad till now, only the stalled rezzing bug with textures is pretty
annoying, especially if you are a photographer in SL. Same problem in 1.23... I
have to relog to 1.22 for photos.

- glow mirroring on highres screenshots
- freeze preview doesnt freeze particles, clouds, moving attachments etc
- selecting "screen sized" (my display is 2560x1600) shows and saves photo size
2560x1599 (1 pixel too small in height!)
- highres snapshots show weird offset lines in water (while left upper quarter
is rendered, the water in the other quarters moves on, showing bad cut lines in
the water)
- preview window gets more borked with each new release, right now the view
shows everything but not what it will save

and LOTS MORE. ,)

If you want to see the extend of the borkedness, have a look at the meta issue,
collection all (most?) of the snapshot bugs:

High-lag-n-crowded-sim-photographer, about 20.000 snapshots so far.

Can anyone comment on

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-72

?

Something I'm missing or overlooking here?
I can't even begin to use snowglobe this way :/

I've seen people complain in-world about the fonts having changed (in a bad
way)
with 1.23. I never tried 1.23, but I wonder if that uses the same (new) code
for
fonts. In that case this would be a serious bug in snowglobe as well as
1.23.

Hi folks,

The trunk is now open for Snowglobe 1.1 (or whatever we call it)
development. You might have noticed there are two new locations in the
svn repository:
http://svn.secondlife.com/svn/linden/projects/2009/snowglobe/1.0/
http://svn.secondlife.com/svn/linden/projects/2009/snowglobe/trunk/

Live commits should now be going to "trunk", from whence we'll be doing
regular builds.

Committers....now is the time to start checking in code for the next
release.

Rob

Hi there,

just a question - I quite excited about llTextBox... as it would greatly
enhance our lovely llDialog!

Is llTextBox functionality in the opensource Snowglobe client, or are their
any active devs in the sldev community working on this?
How big an effort would be needed for this implementation? If you have any
idea about this, please share.

Thanks!

Here's a couple of fairly straight forward small mini-map bug fixes to
get things rolling.

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-67 (VWR-4106)
Fixes the display of the tracking beacon on the mini-map when it is
above or below the camera.

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-68 (VWR-13227)
Prevents the text labels on the mini-map incorrectly displaying as
black when using the silver skin.

I would appreciate it if someone (or a couple of people) could review
these so that I can commit them to Snowglobe.

Aimee.

This was brought up at Andrew/Simon Linden's office hours sometime recently.

As I understand it, the llTextBox story is like this:

-It was put into the server. Client work began.
-The server was changed. Client work became obsolete.
-The client was never updated to support it, though the server still does.

I know there's a Jira about it, and it has a patch attached. I don't
know if the patch is actually a solution. The conversation changed
before I could take a deeper look.

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8759

Good patch candidate for Snowglobe if you ask me. Good candidate for 1.24, too.
