This is the real discussion that should be going on in SLDev, and it's refreshing that about five out of a hundred posts to the mailing list, such as this one, are addressing the root cause of the problem. There seems to be universal agreement that AO should not require scripts. VWR-386 is in the top 10 most requested features. The only comment I heard from Linden what something to the effect, we want to make sure we do it the right way, yet I haven't seen any strawman proposals published on the list by Linden Lab, and no comment on the Emerald solution, so I can only conclude that this is just a smoke screen. The llEndScript to enable a one-time execution sounds like an interesting proposal that as far as I can tell has received no comment from Linden. SLDev is supposed to be an open source project. Let's talk. Let's design. Let's get something done. Right about now is when Rob would put an end to the policy discussions here and round up the stray cats. :-( Mike Mm Alder _______________________________________________ Policies and (un)subscribe information available here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/SLDev Please read the policies before posting to keep unmoderated posting privileges
