Jason, sure, as others pointed out before, everyone with their dogs are writing similar sort of handy utility logging helpers. And that is precisely the point - what are the reasons for not having this functionality be implemented by slf4j/logback itself in the first place? It's such a trivial fully backward compatible enhancement, really. So strange..
