I'd propose to have the beta release without the Tomcat stuff and see what people want. I can add a new task to modify an existing Tomcat in a non-destructive way.
I have added two targets tomcat-4-install and tomcat-5-install. They are pretty ugly and a bit complicated, but are the best I could do for now.
They copy all necessary files to Tomcat's common/lib and server/lib, patch server.xml to use Slide's authentication realm for /slide scope and create a context for war-less deployment. This context needs Domain.xml which will be in slide and web.xml which will be in slide/WEB-INF.
I have tested .war as well as bundeled release with Tomcat 4.1.29 and 5.0.16 using Tomcat authentication realm with success. I guess we could have both as a download and go version as simple zip's or tgz's, but I still consider this somewhat weird. What do you think?
Could someone please test the whole thing?
Oliver
