Rafael, I would love to review the adapter and commit that to the project, and I would add my own Derby adapter.

I have been working with Zeus to develop a DB2 v9 pureXML Adapter. And we would like to contribute it back. What does it do? 1) Simplifies the relational schema This adapter stores the Slide metadata using the file adapter XML file schema/format. But it uses a lot of the Relational Adapter classes. You can think of it as a relational adapter that is aware of the new XML type. This greatly simplifies the relational schema. The prototype implementation currently has only two tables each with 4 columns. 2) Stores XML in an XML column The other thing this database adapter does is it stores all XML data in an XML column and all non-XML in the BLOB column. This will allow folks who store XML the ability to query the XML using parametric XQueries to search and manipulate documents. We have been running it against the Slide test suite and it seems to pass as well as the other relational adapters. Would a slide contributor be interested in reviewing the code? What do you think? regards, <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Rafael --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
