The adapter runs on DB2 v9 LUW (Linux-Unix-Windows). This version of DB2 is not for mainframes. You may run it on your worstation/desktop or even laptop on Windows XP, for example. You can get a completely free version of the database that does not expire at: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/ Don't hesitate to email me for any questions.
