Hi All, I'm a great fan of the Apache projecs. The Apache Web Server, Tomcat, SOAP, Axis, Log4J. These are all great projects. The experience with them to date has been wonderful.
With Apache, Tomcat, SOAP, Axis, Log4J and other apache projects, there are lots of examples and documentation showing how to use these tools. How to configure them in a variety of ways. With Slide, there is a lack of that. After playing with Slide (which I did get up and running), I've determined it's easier to use Apache with mod_dav and write JSP or Servlets via Tomcat to modify .htaccess, .htgroup, and .htpasswd files. Can we expect any docs or examples in the future that show how to do things using slide. For instance, control WebDAV access on a folder by folder, user by user basis. I can do this right now but I have to modify one of the Slide startup configuration files. Lastly, I've been looking at some of these other third party servers that manage WebDAV. Tamino and Xythos being two of them. Aren't the prices they are charging for WebDAV ridiculous??? Matt Gundersen __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
