I'm using a custom store which is based on the JDBCStore (it actually uses entity beans but the JDBCStore queries were replicated in the EJB logic).
However, I would think that the problem happens at a higher level since Stores only "store" and retrieve objects. A higher layer in Slide is triggering the initialization process and it's not checking that the objects are already there albeit they may differ from the defaults due to dynamic modifications.

Anyway I'll update to the latest version and verify this.

Which store implementation do you use?
I experienced something similar some time ago with JDBCStore being "mounted" on /files. It worked when being mounted on /.

I'm able to change the ACL to the /files collection from a client for example.
But when I restart the server, the permissions are reset to the ones defined in Domain.xml.
It seems that all default objects are recreated from Domain.xml on server startup.
Shouldn't initialization occur only once only when the repository is empty?

I'm using version 2.0.
