I think you could supply you own "standardLivePropertiesClass".
Add a parameter like this to you Domain.xml <parameter name="standardLivePropertiesClass">your.class.name</parameter> (in the default Domain.xml are some comments to this)
I've never used this and this not a relly smart way but it sould work.

I am using WebDrive that has a feature to set correct date modified values
of files on DAV server. Because 'getlastmodified' property by default is
protected, I am not able to use this feature.
I had considered using Custom Properties but as you might have guessed it is not a clean solution.
