As far as I could tell, the objectnodes in the Slide domain.xml are only used when there is no such object in the stores (such as when the stores are initialized).
This means that if the object /files/girish already exists, modifications to the permissions in the domain.xml will not be propagated to the store, you have to do that by hand using a WebDAV client.
