As discussed in another thread, I just tested CVS HEAD with the WebDAV Mini-Redirector (MRXDAV.SYS) and it seems to work, at least when Slide is not setup to authenticate:

   net use * http://myhost/slide

It's not the same as the WebFolders client. It creates a real drive mapping, just as Net/WebDrive do.
I couldn't get authentication to work, but I think it's worth to try to find out what Slide needs to do to interoperate better with the mini-redirector.

From my investigations the NetDrive license says its only for use with Novell's servers, so even though the download is publicly accessible, the program really isn't too useful. WebDrive (http://www.southrivertech.com/index.php?pg=./products/webdrive/index) appears to be basically the same program, with a commercial license. Unfortunately the (bad) implementation of WebDAV (plus the threat that MS might make it better if they felt a need to) has kept the development of Windows (and most non-Windows too) clients to a minimum.

But I'm not sure what the license requirements are to use netdrive
though. I can't find source for it on the net so it may need a license
if you intend to use it for more than your personal use :-) Or at least
it needs to be investigated.

To my knowledge, no, but there is a program called "netdrive" that may do what you want. It's a novell client that talks to the novell webdav server. I've been told it works with Slide too. I don't have the right configuration to test it myself at the moment. It seems to use NTLM auth by default or basic auth if you set a config parameter.

Subject: Windows XP mapping

Hello,

Can I map Slide shares with windows XP?.

I've read the steps in Slide home page (Connecting with XP)
but it only creates web Folders and I need a real mapped drive.

I'm using Slide+Tomcat in a Linux Red Hat and the windows
machine has the WebDAV Mini-Redirector (MRXDAV.SYS) version 5.1.2600.218

Thanks.
