This was the second of two Hermit shows in London. This was just with
Guided By Voices at The Embassy.
What more can be said about Hermit that hasn't been said already. They
simply are an amazing band. They played all of GPO with the exception of the
reprise of the title track, Hated It, French Inhale and a hand full of new
tunes, of which 7 Years of Bad Luck and Bad Timing was the best.
Joel was a sight to behold tonight. His poses struck during the show
were simply unparalled. Cliff was particularly impressive tonight (never really
noticed how good he was until...).
And to top it off, Jay Ferguson was in attendance and brought a stack of
7" vinyls to give out (including tracks from Hermit, jale, Super Friendz and
Stinkin' Rich) to the early commers.
